Insider News Center: From Mount Vernon Insider: Westchester County Legislator Tyrae Woodson-Samuels 13th District: County Approves More than $163K for Mount Vernon Youth Programs.

 

Dear Neighbors and Friends, 

I'm happy to report that all of my colleagues on the Board of Legislators joined me Monday night in approving more than $163,000 to fund the Mount Vernon Youth Bureau's Safe Haven, Youth Empowerment and Step Up programs.

These are some of the best and most valuable programs we have for young people in the city, making a positive impact year after year on the lives of the hundreds they serve. 

They are also a great example of County and City government working together to support Mount Vernon families.

I want to extend a special thanks to Commissioner Debbie Burrell-Butler and the entire team at the Mount Vernon Youth Bureau for their dedication to the young people of our city.
