ART IN THE PARK FOR MOTHER NATURE OPENING RECEPTION
AT WARD POUND RIDGE RESERVATION.
(Cross River, NY) – Photography, paintings, drawings and sculpture inspired by nature found at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Cross River, will be on display at the For Mother Nature exhibit beginning Saturday, April 30. Opening reception is Saturday, April 30, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The For Mother Nature exhibit is part of Art in the Park and will be viewable at the Gallery in The Park daily from Saturday, April 30, through Sunday, June 5, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer said: “Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is the county’s largest park featuring some of the most picturesque landscapes. The For Mother Nature exhibit will encourage visitors to express and discuss different views and interpretations of the art and inspire meaningful conversations while exploring nature at the scenic Reservation.”
Westchester County Parks Commissioner Kathy O’Connor said: “The beauty of the natural unplanned, landscape at Ward Pound Ridge has inspired the creativity of many local artists. Westchester County Parks is proud to showcase the works of these talented artists and host this exhibit, which is a part of The Arts in the Parks program.”
Admission is free; parking is $5 with a Park Pass and $10 without a Park Pass, every day from Memorial Day through Labor Day; weekends only after Labor Day.
