Insider News Center: From Greenburgh Insider: Greenburgh cares about Ukraine--residents working hard to support the innocent victims.

 

Last nights concert raised almost $27,000. There are many other ways Greenburgh residents can help the people of Ukraine.

We have an amazing community, with lots of terrific people who are working hard to help the innocent people of the Ukraine.

 

The March 27, 2022 “A Show of Caring – A Concert to Benefit Ukraine” at the Tarrytown Music Hall was inspiring and uplifting. Pianist Dr. Irena Portenko, Ukrainian Chorus Dumka of New York (recently seen on Saturday Night Live), pianist Svetlana Gorokhovich, countertenor Jeffrey Palmer, and Metropolitan Opera bass Stefan Szkafarowsky performed a compelling program that featured a variety of Ukrainian and other international music. One particularly moving segment was Szkafarowsky’s rendition of “I’ll Walk with God” which he dedicated to the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
